The curriculum at the Institute is basically separated into 2 types of classes for each of 3 types of training. Students are invited and encouraged not only to attend as much and as many classes as they can, but also to supplement their training by using equipment within the Institute during off-class hours.
Classes are either “fundamental” or “advanced” format. Fundamental classes focus on the building and maintaining the prerequisite neuromuscular ability, flexibility, and the mechanical sensitivity to use the basic techniques. Advanced classes involve taking physical and strategic tools forged in fundamental classes and putting them to use in more advanced methods including pressure-testing sets, time-tests, and of course, advanced levels of sparring…
Youth
Geared towards those 13 and under (logical consideration given to those of advanced size and ability) the youth program takes place daily during the hours immediately following regular academic school and is an ultimate refocusing tool to shake off the moss and rust of having been forced to sit at a desk from 9am-330pm, giving young bodies the workout they need, harnessing the naturally abundant energy of kids and begins with the addition and preservation of their natural flexibility, moves on to the building of co-ordination, balance, speed and strength…attributes awesome on their own, and perfect to act as a base to any other art or sport they might also partake in.
With an emphasis on athleticism and general fitness in training that sets physical (neurological and muscular) framework that can be built upon, ingraining a dynamic set of whole-body reflexes, in a fun setting that (of course) tones down some of the “darker aspects” of the arts, while keeping the intensity high enough to keep them engaged and deriving the maximum benefits.
Give kids the best start possible with a proper teaching methodology, careful attention to detail, and a staff specially versed in an awareness of where the limitations and boundaries exist when specifically providing children with a balanced physical art that seriously challenges them, but is also seriously fun. The steady work kids put into their bodies at an early point reap exponential benefits (as their non-training peers can surely demonstrate in reverse, their sedentary bodies hardening, fattening, and withering) as their years advance into adulthood…
As parents, you want to raise good people. Parents invest in the mental, academic, artistic, social, health, esteem, and even spiritual development of their children…so why not house those investments in a strong, co-ordinated body, and teach them respect for what is basically the only gift that can never be stolen from them…go beyond bully-proofing to an actual total personal upgrade, and give them the confidence and freedom to be themselves regardless of what some external forces would see imposed upon them. Make them free-thinkers with the ability to defend those thoughts.

Adult
Geared towards those 13 and over (logical consideration given to those of advanced size and ability) the adult program takes place (on either end of the standard dinner-hour) after work, in two slots aiming to fit just about every busy schedule. After a day of work, take the time for yourself to engage in an art that aims to make you feel the way you are supposed to feel, as a human animal should…far, far away from the limiting, subdued and conservative movements of a standard day at the office…come in and open up your range of motion, work your speed and reaction-time, and partake in some skill-building sweat! The intellectual aspects of tactical strategy, the deep burn of precision repetitions on pads and bags, kicking, punching, jumping, your way to a better you…knowing all along that you are learning (both intellectual and neuromuscular hard-wiring of better actions and reactions) a skill-set that, while valuable on many levels and in any situation, can be priceless depending on the most extreme cases.
You learn the art, with fitness as a side-effect…and along the way, you level-up all the way around, inside and out…
Nothing wrong with jogging, weightlifting, aerobics…actually, they are great for supplementary training. Often, the error in their use is using them in improper order. But critically, rather than making any of those your primary training (basically just doing something that essentially requires very little in-the-moment focus, and is usually just a repetitive number of sets or miles…brings to mind images sort of like a hamster-wheel or a steam-shovel) simply in the interest of burning calories, what about learning an actual physical art, and reaping benefits across a broad range of areas beyond simple fitness.

Professional
If you are in a profession that regulary puts you in harm’s way…you need to be prepared.
Whether you are testing yourself in a sports ring (or cage) or you are holding a position in security, police or military, having the skills to impose your game while protecting yourself (and others, even) effectively is a must. The real-world and competitive backgrounds of the Institute’s staff is what drives the curriculum to be totally applicable when events see you facing serious external adversity. Not that the professional program is pared-down at all (as many “reality” martial arts tend to place emphasis on) but instead builds upon regular training with additional workshops… using the facilities to drill suppression and extraction techniques, close-quarter scenarios, strobe-lit and distraction-based modules, and emphasis on picking the moves that best suit each individual practitioners evolving skillset.
